Special consultation for hip joints
Expert help for young and old, from sports injuries to osteoarthritis
Diseases and injuries to the hip occur equally in children, adolescents and adults. Injuries in sport often affect the muscles close to the hip and bony protrusions (apophyses) to which the tendons attach. Fractures, on the other hand, occur rather rarely and usually as a result of serious accidents. Conditions caused by overuse or incorrect loading, such as muscle hardening or bursitis, are generally uncomplicated and can be treated quickly and effectively thanks to our numerous conservative treatment methods.
Osteoarthritis occurs as a result of congenital malformations (dysplasia), injuries, rheumatic diseases or simply due to age. The successful treatment of osteoarthritis of the hip requires a multi-pronged therapy concept and is a focus of OTC. We routinely carry out targeted injection therapy into the hip joint (e.g. with hyaluronic acid or PRP), supported by high-resolution ultrasound equipment and X-ray image intensifiers. If conservative therapy has been exhausted, we perform endoprosthetic treatment (artificial joint) according to the latest standards, minimally invasive at the Lindenlohe Endoprosthesis Center (special consultation hours for endoprosthetics).
